JK 5100 –composter adapted to ecocycle

The JK 5100 is an entirely new type of industrial composting machine which features:

• A powerful, integrated shedder/grinder which chops up the waste material into small pieces

Operation

All the waste passes the grinder before it reaches the process chamber, where the waste is treated and aired with a newly developed mixing technique. After about two weeks, the mixing mechanism passes the material into the second chamber to finalise the ripening process. The chamber for ripening is, of course, equipped with a separate mixer. To obtain the best possible end product, that is completely hygenic, the composter has two chambers. The chute is placed conveniently and is accessible to the disabled.

Hygienic Operation

The JK 5100 is easy to clean, rodent-proof and will not vent any gases (odours) into the installation area.  Due to the machine’s advanced technical specifications the composting process is rapid, efficient and thorough.  No vermin, no flies, no mess.

Environment

An important part of our environmental policy is to develop products that can be manufactured from recycled or recyclable material. As much as 95% of all parts in the JK5100 composting machine are recyclable materials.

Design

The compost machine is designed to meet high standards in terms of use and hygiene. The machine is easy to maintain. The chute for depositing the food waste is placed conveniently for the user. The compost receptacles have inspection covers. The simple design facilitates an understanding of the different steps in the composting process.

Safety

The machine has several built-in safety features. Naturally, the chute is locked during grinding. When the chute is open, the grinder motor is locked. The mixer and aerator are built in. For further peace of mind, at each end of the machine is a highly visible emergency stop button.

Regulatory Compliance 

The two-chamber system is essential for compliance with many of today’s regulations regarding composting of kitchen waste that includes meat products.  Joraform’s newly developed second-chamber heating system means that the JK 5100 is now able to comply with laws such as the UK’s Animal By-Product Regulations 

Quality

JK 5100 is of robust construction, mainly made of stainless steel. All moving parts are replaceable for an optimal working life. The compost machine has a programmable unit, which can easily be adapted to the type of waste being processed.
